In this lesson we'll take our turnaround lick one step further by adding strumming of the V chord in bar 12. This builds a lot of tension and gets the listener excited for the "new" 12 bar cycle!

To begin practicing, can I play for the first measure of the 12th bar as E and E and then jump to the E7 (V) chord?

Hello - thanks so much for your question! Yes you can do that, but eventually, you'll want to try to play that measure as it is written. It's good to practice the examples slowly at first to be able to switch right to that E7 chord. Keep at it - you'll get it! Hope this helps!
