Hello everyone, my name is Antolii.
I recently started playing electric guitar, but I've played a little bit of bass guitar before, which is the reason I decided to purchase my first eletric guitar. My approach to my guitar purchase was a bit different. I like metal mostly, so with that in mind I researched different guitars. I found that a lot of the bands I listen to, play 7 string guitar, or above. I was interested in 8 string guitar at first, but in the end I settled on 7 strings because I thought it was be easier to learn.
In comparison to my bass, the guitar feels small. I never played a 6 string before, so I have nothing to compare the 7 string to. The lowest string, B, does kind of remind me of bass string. With the beginner lessons on here, I just incorporate the extra string into my exercises. I'm doubtful that GT will feature 7 string lessons. I'm wondering if anyone else had skipped 6 string and went right into 7 string? My musician friend actually was against the idea of me playing 7 first, and that I should have started with 6 string acoustic.
