In this lesson we'll breakdown a simple practice tune that employs our new Travis Picking Pattern. First let's break down the two different sections. I'm sure it's no surprise to you that we'll be in the key of E for this PT.

Now let's practice each of these sections extra slowly with the metronome. As always remember that you may need to do this exercise on your own with the metronome at a different tempo.

Hey there - thanks so much for your question! Unfortunately, I don't really see an alternative for the B7 in this context. My advice would be to keep practicing the lick on the A7, since it's the same lick down 2 frets. The more you practice this lick, the more likely you'll be able to move it up 2 frets for B7. It just takes lots of repetition to burn it into your muscle memory, and then you should be able to move it around the neck a little easier. Keep at it - you'll get it!!! Hope this helps!
