In this alternate picking exercise, we will keep the pick going in a steady pace, while also fretting notes with our fretting hand.

It may sound easy, but when the fretting hand is active, somehow the picking gets harder.

Hello - thanks so much for your question! It is not necessary to land the pick to the lower string, but if you find it helpful and it doesn't slow you down, then, by all means, go for it!
