I’ve been checking out GuitarTricks lately and I’m curious what others think about it. The layout feels beginner-friendly, and the lesson structure looks pretty organized. For those who’ve used it for a while, did it actually help you improve, or did you switch to something else?

Just want some honest experiences before I dive in.

I joined in December of 2022.  I had no guitar experience – I never even held a guitar.  I use Guitar Tricks exclusively for my guitar learning experience. Anders Mouridsen teaches each lesson (so far).   I like that he breaks down each lesson into several steps, and I go through each step at my own pace. The same thing with the songs – each instructor breaks down the song into steps that I can practice until I get through all of them and play the entire song. I also like the fact that you can slow down each step and practice at a slower speed, gradually increasing until you can play it 100%.  The song library is good enough for me, as it will be quite a while before I get through all the songs on the list that I want to learn.  It’s been great for me – I highly recommend it.

I've been a member for a few years. The Fundamentals will get you started and from there you will use it a resource based on what you want to do on guitar.

Music is a big subject.
