If you sign up with your Google account, then ironically you cannot log into the app on android.
The only people who can log into the app are the people who signed up with their email address, instead of their google account.
The advice I was given, to use the app in a web browser is just suboptimal. If you havent subscribed, then you could sign up with your email address, and subscribe, then you can use the app and the website, if you stick with your Google account you will not be able to use the app, period.
When my subscription is expired, im done. It not just that I cant use the app, its the poor customer service. There are solutions that could be implimented, GuitarTricks could confirm my Gmail Account Email address, set up an account for my gmail address, and transfer my remaining subscription to that account so I could use the app and website..................................but a short while after buying a year, I was told I could never use the android app................why would I continue with another years subscription?
I enjoy the content, but when the milk turns sour Im not the kind of idiot that oders a second glass of milk.
Hey — thanks for sharing your experience. Just wanted to clear up a couple things.
We don’t tell customers that the Android app is permanently unusable for Google sign-ups. There was a temporary app login issue that affected some users, and during that time we suggested using a browser as a workaround while it was being fixed. That issue has since been resolved.
If you’re still having trouble logging in or accessing the app, we’d really like to look into it with you. Please email us at admin@guitartricks.com so we can check your account and make sure everything is working as it should.
We definitely want you to be able to use both the app and the website, and if something isn’t working, we want to know so we can fix it.
