Good question! They are both just different voicings of the same chord. Both have the notes you need:

A (1st) - C# (maj3rd) - E (5th) - G (min7th)

So you get either:

--0--(5)------

--2--(3)------

--0--(7)------

--2--(5)------

--0--(1)------

---------------

Or

--3--(7)------

--2--(3)------

--2--(1)------

--2--(5)------

--0--(1)------

---------------

I cover both of these in this lesson from the open dominant 7th chords tutorial.
