Hi all,

I have gotten up to the 5 string lesson in the guitar fundamentals. When I do the lesson without a pick, just using my finger (thumb)I do just fine for the 2nd 3rd and 4th repeat.

However, as soon as I do it with a pick, I lstart losing my place on the repeat. I can not figure out how to get back to the starting point on the 2nd string..

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Gary

Dare I say it? Practice.

Start very slowly. Very slowly. Until you get it right. Then very gradualy increase the speed.

A metronome is very useful for this.

Kind regards

Joe

Echoing Joe here Gary.

Repetition will work it into muscle memory. It can be frustrating until this happens but keep at it!

Good luck

thanks for taking the time to reply...

It just gets frustrating landing on the 3rd or 1st string, when in my head I know where the 2nd string is. LOL.

thanks
