Post-Rock path?

Hey!

I'm new to the site and liking it a lot. I am half way Guitar Fundamentals 1 and being consistent with practice.

My question is, does anyone know of the path I could take to better understand and learn how to play guitar in the Ambient / Post-Rock genre? By path, I mean, the lessons I could take. (should I take the Rock style lessons? should I know of some other lessons that are outside of the scope of that style? if so, which one?) Would be nice to have a list of lessons I could approach when my skill is right.

Thank you beforehand, I'm new to forums in general and thinking maybe I can become active in this one and try to be helpful!

I'm guessing a lot of the basic material is based on rock. So, the rock course is your best bet. You will likely need the chords & rhythm guitar skills & ideas. But you will also need an understanding of different types of gear, for the ambient approach (reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, etc.)

Anders does a great job of showing all these skills! And there are sections on using spacey effect.

Again, thank you, that was exactly what I wanted to know. I'll continue through the course and eventually get the required gears.
