E minor finger positions

Hello there!

I'm pretty new to guitar, I've been training for not even two weeks, but I do have a question about E minor chord, in this beginner course that I follow, it's presented to be played with first and second finger, althought I have come across some videos where they use second and third finger (which seems more suitable for me as I struggle not to hit high E string while trying this E minor chord with first and second). So is it up to my personal preferences which fingers I use to play this chord or should I follow the video and try to do it with my first and second?

I think it's perfectly okay to play the E minor chord with your second and third fingers! There's nothing wrong with either choice.

I find it easier with the second and third fingers as there are a lot of progressions in song that go Em to Am and it feels more natural

I think over time you will finger it both ways, depending on what you are playing and how it fits. Go with what feels natural.
