I haven't owned one, but from what I understand it's a pretty solid guitar. It actually comes with real Gibson pickups which is a huge plus. The hard case is also included.

I wouldn't be too shy about pulling the trigger on an Epiphone LP. They have a long track records of good quality instruments. You should be pretty happy with it.
