The F major chord - grr
So being new to guitar I celebrated today as I finally started getting into full chords. I'm getting the A major The E The D and The C, but once I got to F I ran into a wall. Are there any tips for playing the F chord specifically the first two strings.

Use your index finger to make a bar on the first 2 strings in the 1st fret. Then build the rest of the chord, and try to make the notes clear.
Keep in mind this is not a full bar chord.

you could use you 1st finger to barre the first four strings. another way is from C major turn you who hand using the thumb on the back of the neck as a piviot leaving your first finger on the b string and lifting the other fingers.
They say the END is near, but I'm Tired of waiting.

Just practice the barre with your index. Make sure you have good pressure from your thumb on the back of the neck. I always have my thumb on the lower 2/3 of the back of the neck when i play bars, I personally think it helps with pressure.
