Sorry but I never heard of that band but no matter what you do you won't ever get a tone the same as what you hear on a record - even if you use the same guitar and amp/rig. You have to remember that after a trazck is recorded there are about 10 to twently plug-ins added on to enhance the tone plus the fact that most tones are run through extensive outboard gear (compressors, eventide units etc).
Anyway, without having a clue about that particular band, my advice to getting the most out of the Metalzone pedal is to keep the distortion low (from about 50% to 65%). It's a total misconception that you get a heavier tone by cranking your gain to '11'. The lower the gain the heavier and more articulate the tone, it also healp to lose the muddy interference and the fizz that you get when multi-tracking many distorted guitars.
