I am a serious Three Days Grace fan, i play the guitar and i bought a tab book for one of their albums (one-x) and I am trying to play my favorite song called "pain"... the intro i can get use to but i need help with the chorus.

What specifically are you having trouble with?? The rhythm of the strumming or the chords itself???

the strumming, i didnt know you had to use chords and i cant get the notes right..

You do have your guitar tuned to Drop D and not standard right. If its just the chorus your having trouble with, its a possibility since its the only part of that song that uses the 6th string (low E, which for drop D, is tuned to D)

I'm all confused, i have it tuned perfectly to drop D, I'm just not able to play it

Oh, then you just need to practice it.If it sounds like the wrong notes, then you have a wrong tab or your hitting the wrong frets. If it sounds like the right ntes, just sloppy, then just start slower and build up untill you can play it up to speed cleanly.

ok, ill post somthing new when i think im getting the hang of it. but i could do it fine, really slowly, i cant jump to those chords fast... i just need practice...

A trick on the part where it goes back and forth between a few chords..... don't take your hand off the fretboard just pick the first chord and slide to the rest. It sounds the same and is easier to play that way.
