kirk hammett's fender strat pickups

im been looking in many different places and cant find out what the pickups are on kirk's fender strats. i know he uses emg 81 on bridge and neck for some of his other guitars and ive seen in some old videos him with a fender strat using 3 black single coils and having an awsome sound.

Does anyone know what pickups he uses?

If your talking about his red one with the Jackson type headstock, its actually a Fernandes Strat. I searched around and can't find what pickups either. I'll go my Guitar World books tomm and take a look at the Vulgar Display of Power section.

They're EMG single coils. The same ones found in his EMG pickguard set... They're EMG S's. His KH20 set that you can purchase through EMG has an 81 with a pair of S's.
