My father was raised in New Brunswick, so he introduced his Ontario-born sons to the simple pleasure of dulse. I can't find that stuff out here, dammit! You'd think with all the Maritimers working in the oil patch, there'd be enough demand that someone would bring it in, but nobody here knows what I'm talking about. :(

Dulse is definately an acquired taste... I have tried it... and am still waiting to develop a taste for it..lol But if you really are craving a taste of Dulse LATS... pm me your address and I will gladly send you some.

Thanks, Tonja! I grew up in Ontario, where it seems to be a lot easier to find things that come from somewhere else. I developed a liking for 'chicken bone' candy when I was a kid, never suspecting that was another East Coast thing that I couldn't get out here. My ex sends me a big bag a couple times a year. And any time I get down east, I pig out on fresh curd. That doesn't seem to exist out here. On the rare occaisions that I find it, it has been refridgerated, which turns it into tasteless waxy, glop! Alberta is not exactly cosmopolitan about acquiring things from anywhere else. But hey, the scenery is freakin' amazing! :)

Oh, I sounded boring. Other than being a draftsman, I of course play geetar in Havoc Din. I also play drums, bass, and mandolin. My other intersest include dog training (Frisbee, retrieving, etc...), snowboarding when I can make it up north, wakeboarding, and I know I may catch hell for this, but gardening. I'm learning how to create hybrid roses. I was originally going to major in either horticulture or landscape architecture, but just decided to stick with the drafting. I'm also addicted to video games...

I hope you like math because every class in engineering is math.... I'm currently studying mechanical engineering at Purdue University.... My advice is: Put your nose to the grindstone and work hard in high school because your grades in high school are real important... Also, take as many technology classes at your school and as many Advanced Placement classes as you can... hopefully your high school does a lot better job preparing you for a tough major than mine did. Good luck with that though!!

math and science are my best subjects so i guess i'll be ok.
yep i am working hard in high school.. my school only has computer classes and i'm taking IB classes, if you know what those are. i guess my school does a good job preparing us cause in 2003 it was the 3rd best high school in us. so they probably prepare us.

bagging groceries... yes it sucks... but yes it bought me my car, so I can't complain. I'm also attending a community college for now, just taking general ed type classes because I can't decide on a major, because I have not even the slightest clue what I want to do for the rest of my life, which kinda sucks cause I really need to get that figured out soon, but I haven't got any ideas yet. other things I do: work on my car, play video games on occassion, snowboarding, wakeboarding, etc.
