I've got a classical, 6 string, and 12 string acoustics...all have their uses. I've had an Ovation, but I wasn't that impressed with mine. It had high action and sounded its best plugged in. For me I want a guitar that plays and sounds good by itself first. But every guitar is unique to some degree, even within the same brand, so just try it out first. Don't count pawn shops out either.
