I have a "folk size" Cort (Earth 72 I believe is the model). It's a solid top (which is a MUST IMHO) and it was $200CDN (maybe $170US). I think Cort's are the total unsung heroes of the guitar world. Really nice playing and nice looking. Fantastic sound as well. Check www.cort.com to see what their cutaway models look like, but you can get them crazy cheap.
