Jackson or Ibanez!!!

i have the the ibanez rg 350dx and i like it, although i do find it difficult to tune but i suck.

Ok, so it seems you want a guitar with a Floyd Rose and humbuckers, but other than that, the 2 guitars you mention are very different.
My advice would be to go Jackson, but not the RR3,(as a huge Randy fan, I feel very guilty saying this)they are very uncomfortable and only really good for live performance(you dont wanna play that thing when sitting down...it's worse than a Gibson v in terms of comfort. I would look for a Dinky or soloist Jackson, or something like that, with a more conventional shape. As for the pickups, Duncan Design means that although the pickups and their wiring systems were designed by Seymour Duncan(not personally, obviously) the pickups are built under license by Jackson or any other company, so I guess they are probably a bit better than the stock pickups on the Ibanez...unless the Ibanez has V7/V8 pickups...those are nice.
Ibanez's Prestige range is amazing, but hellishly expensive...Just as Jackson Usa is.

I cant be anymore specific I'm afraid, if you are set on getting one of those2, i'd go with the Rg, but purely on body shape.
If you look around for more conventional Jacksons,maybe they are the way(tho having said that, I own two Ibanez guitars,no Jacksons, and love both my Ibanez's)

Dude, I have a Jackson Dxmg Dinky and I love it. Jacksons are infamous for having bad pots in 'em but they are great guitars. I agree with some of the other guys though; I wouldn't recommend getting the Randy Rhoads(RIP) signature unless you plan on only playing standing up(which I do most of the time) cuz sitting is a pain. As for Ibanez I've played good ones and bad ones...the bad ones are usually cheap and the good ones really expensive...but in the long run its up to you man. Get what you want. You gotta get one you think looks good so you'll be motivated to play it, but you have to consider comfort and tone too.

it's like someone said before in this thread there is no right and wrong here it's about taste and preferences ...

Ibanez definately floats my boat ... I've tried many over the years
and I just think they are incredible, lightyears ahead of many "us made high dollar brands" .....

nowadays it seems like they can sell any crap as long as it has a "made in usa" sticker on it, it's ridicilous really ..... (and I don't mean jackson guitars)

I would try them both and then you'll probably know right of the bat ..
just think about that RR body is a pain when wanting to sit and practise.

I own a Ibanez RG370DX and I'm really happy with it, the humbuckers sound just fine for what you're paying and the neck is comfortable for playing, and if you can't tune the thing.. please get help! :p tuning is easy though mine hardly goes out of tune and changing strings is also easy

what is said about Prestige, those things are really expensive, though worth it, and should only be bought if you got the cash for it

the next guitar I want to buy is the Ibanez JS-1000, I love that thing, only a bit expensive..
