You can't choose based on the brand name alone... Both Ibanez and Jackson make guitars ranging from crap to excellent.

Both these guitars, to me, seem to be at the same level of quality. Personally, however, my decision would be purely based on the body shape.
Pickup quality is not important; that's why companies like Seymour Duncan and DiMarzio exist.
