By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Yeah, a 15 marshall mg. It is ok. Good for a practice amp. My friend had one and if you have a good destortion pedal then it will sound really nice. I know my friend was running it through a zoom pedal and it sounded good. But then he did have a £600 guitar. I would say its a good choice though, but i dont really know many other good practice amps. Fender make some good practice amps. I know my other friend had one and it sounded really good. He was also using a £550 guitar though.
