To be honest I'm not sure what the most difficult song I've tried is, as nowadays I'm playing songs I previously thought to be the most difficult on earth without thinking about. At heart I'm a lead player and I've been working a lot on my shredding recently listening to many difficult and accomplished solos......Paul Gilbert's Highway Chile is mental and Steve Vai's Erotic Nightmares has certainly given me a few nightmares of my own!

One song I still find a challenge is Metallica's 'Disposable Heros'.....the chords are easy - I know the whole chord structure from memory and I'm not bad on the solo either having written my own version based on what KH did originally, but the speed of the riffs is evil  Many times I've had to take a long hard look at my technique and make changes, even wear the guitar lower to change the angle of my right arm, and try different picking patterns. My self-challenge is to play it faster than it is on the CD coz i'm sure its possible.
