There are just some people who in the course of a lifetime effect the world permanantly! Paul is one of those. I don't always agree with his politics but he is who he is and I feel the world is better for having him. My kids are 14 and 11 and know all the beatle songs and alot about them, probably because of me, but they are as into them as music from thier own generation. I don't think people from my generation [i'm 50] can say the same. I don't relate to big band swing or opera or jazz from the 40's as my kids do to beatles / 60's music.
To that effect the beatles [all 4] are like Jesus, Mohammed, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Etc. thier impact is permanant on human society.
One difference, they are more fun to listen to!
