i got a similar sound just through using my LP and my peavey, used quite a lot of gain, high treble, middle medium and bass seemed to work. My LP is a deluxe so has mini-buckers, which have slightly different sound to normal LP's. I used the neck pup throughout the song untill it gets to the last solo, where you hear the solo take on a sharper sound just switch through to the bridge pup.
