Danelectro pedals: are the any damn good?

yes it is. the fizz is not to bad. it does it a little if u use to much drive with it but a flanged overdriven sound sounds rubbish anyway so it doesn't matter

Danelectro designed there effects to capture the vintage 60's tones, so if thats the sound your after there pretty cool, but if you want to play metallica stay away from them

I'll give you my honest opinion... If your looking for heavy distortion, Dan Electro's not the way to go. & keep in mind that the Amp/speakers you use has alot to do with the sound quallity. You might try a pedal on a store's amp that sounds really good, then take it home to unveil the cursed truth, that the pedal sucks. Humbuckers always improve the sound of distortion too (in my opinion). Anyway...for an old rock, or bluesey sound, Dan Electro might cut it. But I'm a guy who likes a skull cracking distortion, low & heavy. I like it when the artificial harmonics scream.

I own a Danelectro Dadio Overdrive Pedal, and let me tell you, this pedal is the ultimate bang for your buck. Its got a nice sound, hard casing, 3 band eq, volume and distortion controls. Plus, it sounds good with any other pedals i run. I dont know about those mini pedals, but the big ones kick.
