Jimi came before SRV so theres not really a debate of who was more influential. And like someone said earlier, SRV's style is very similar to that of Albert King, not Jimi (even though he did cover Voodo Child). Personally, I'd much rather listen to Hendrix than SRV. Jimi was just so freakin cool. It never looked like he was putting any effort into playing. It just seemed to come out so naturally. And to anyone who hasn't heard Jimi's material other than his Greatest Hits stuff, you're missing out on some awesome tunes!
