I'm with Polera... Jimi may have played with feel but in the live recordings I've heard he is sloppy. May not detract from the overall sound, and can maybe be explained away as the effects of recreational substances, but still.

SRV is the more polished player.... no doubt. And for feel, listen to his interpretation of Little Wing - you can hear squeezing the most out of every note.

Neither of them is better.... but SRV wouldn't have sounded the same (or maybe, wouldn't have even played guitar) if it wasn't for Jimi...
