f spaced means that the pole pieces (the 6 metal bits ontop of your pickup) are laid out to fit a flyod rose style tremolo system i think :cool: ther isnt any erason why you shouldn't change your own as long as you can solder and have a fairly basic knowledge of electronics :) if you're going for a straight swap of say single coil to single coil or humbucker to humbucker, then it should be fine, if you have alot of doubts, just removeone wre then solder the new pickup, then remove another wire etc :D
